Join Cleveland's Code for America Brigade in The National Day of Civic Hacking 6/6
June 6, 2015, is the National Day of Civic Hacking and Open Cleveland, Cleveland's Code for America brigade, will introduce people to the idea of civic hacking, simple coding projects, and how you can get involved.
We will have hands-on civic hacking projects that kids and adults can do including and not limited to:
Editing OpenStreetMap, a free global map that people can update and freely use (the wikipedia of google maps); drawing a map of your neighborhood's boundaries and much more!
You can also spend as much, or as little time, contributing to our projects including largelots (an online form to find any buy vacant lots in the city of Cleveland).
People from all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome;
No programming experience is required!
We will also demonstrate existing civic hacking apps and talk about how technology and open data can influence our community positively by contributing through your skills, knowledge, and experiences.
