ALsino Skowrennek


Alsino is a Berlin-based data designer and maker of visual things. A geographer by training, he has worked for different organizations around the world, mostly somewhere between spreadsheets, maps and data visualization. Amongst others, he has collaborated with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Asian Development Bank and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Recently, he has been selected as a Google News Fellow and worked at the German news outlet Zeit Online in Berlin. He is co-founder of the design Studio Karat and organizer of the Maptime Berlin meet-up and the Magic Mapping Club.
